SACHED’s Publishing Project was born out of its desire to promote democratic education for all. SACHED did this by producing quality and well-researched materials for the black community of South Africa. SACHED’s publishing projects expanded beyond its own projects often working in collaboration with other organisations with similar modus operandi. These included COSATU, SACCAWU, the Wits Women’s Forum, SPEAK Magazine, and NUMSA.
